Mission:

Develop and maintain positive relationships with tribal, federal and state agencies to protect tribal sovereignty, treaty, political and other interests. Monitor political and legislative issues and maintain a library of tribal laws and policies. Coordinate a community-based planning process and assist in plan implementation. Systematically gather, compile and report tribal enrollment and other tribal vital demographic information concerning the reservation community and safeguard vital tribal records.

Departments:

The Planning Office coordinates the efforts in developing and maintaining the Tribe's Comprehensive Plan. The People's Plan of June, 1999 is an Executive Summary of the Comprehensive Plan for the Year 2020. This plan reflects a three-year effort to gain the community's direction for updating the 1983 Plan. (In Adobe format)

This plan defines the Community Vision.
